Birth: • Born in Homs, Syria, in 1971 Education: • Studied Islamic Sharia at Abu al-Nour University – Faculty of Islamic Da‘wah in Damascus • Received a solid grounding in Islamic sciences under several distinguished scholars in Syria, including: - Sheikh al-‘Allama Muhammad Junayd (may Allah have mercy on him) - Sheikh al-‘Allama Abu al-Su‘ud Abd al-Salam Bismar (may Allah have mercy on him) - Sheikh al-‘Allama Zuhair al-Atassi (may Allah preserve him) - Sheikh al-‘Allama Isma‘il al-Majdhub - Sheikh al-‘Allama Abd al-Wakil Safi - Sheikh and Qur’an reciter Akram al-Sufi (may Allah have mercy on him), under whom he memorized the Holy Qur’an - And many other esteemed scholars Work and Da‘wah Activities: • Serves as preacher (khatib), imam, and teacher at Omar ibn al-Khattab Mosque in Homs • Teaching in several mosques across Homs since 1990 • Former member of the Committee of Imams and Preachers in Homs, supervising sermons and curricula for over 500 imams and preachers • Former member of the examination committee for imams and preachers • Founded the Islamic website Al-Basa’ir in 2000
